Cheviot from the top of Hells Path 04.07.08

Wooler running club have been working hard to get the Cheviots looking their best for tomorrow's Chevy Chase. The hedgerows are a delight with splendid foxglove spires and gently blushing dog roses, the bracken clad slopes are viridescent and the bogs are really boggy.

Despite the gloomy forecasts the weather has been pleasantly warm and dry with none of the predicted rain. As you can see from the picture visiblity has been good with high cloud. However the bold Chevy Chasers need to be prepared for anything, waterproofs, sunhats and insect repellant etc...
